GENERAL PERSONALITY»
Dom is a loner. Her parents died in a car crash when she was very young. She has no brothers and no sisters. She has few friends within the school mostly because of her “cavalier, go-lucky” attitude (or at least that’s what the teachers say). She has never made special “friends”, and if any very few and beyond memory. She doesn’t bond with teachers and she doesn’t bond with the regulars at the bar she works at.
She is an extremely hard worker. She takes all advanced placement classes, up with some of the seniors, and she always graduates with honors. She manages to work at the bar “Last Resort Saloon”. She doesn’t know why anyone would go in there. The food sucks and the drinks are terrible. She thinks it’s a nice place with mostly nice people though. She gets paid scraps from under the table, but she’s good at her job. She is an entertainer and plays the piano. The regulars (as she’s taken to calling them) tip well so in the end she makes it out every night with an honest heavy pocket...well, mostly honest. Who can resist hustling a few newbies at the top of their game? Especially on break. She lies about her age, but she figures the manager knows. He doesn’t care. He still gets her her drinks for free. She acts older than she is.
She works from five to eleven, playing the piano with few breaks. She is involved in all the sports she can: climbing, running, soccer, and (what she likes to call) “professional evasion” from the authorities.
Dom also likes to…work around the rules. She is the master at finding any loophole and mastering it through memorization. She’s not the best behaved person on the campus, but she is easily the funniest. She can talk around any teacher and avoid any situation. It often leads her into detention. Her record is sky high and she is the bane of any teacher’s existence. If she wasn’t so smart and parentless, she would be kicked out in a heartbeat.
She is also known as the academy daredevil. She would do anything (for payment, of course) and shows no fear, physically or emotionally. Fear, in her eyes, is a weakness that she cannot afford to have. She is rarely seen smiling and often seen scowling. She glares challenge bravely in the face and it seems to drive people away.
Between the homework, work, and blowing off the rules, Dom has little time for people. She has no friends, besides her roommates, and they only see her briefly while she is flying from here to there. In her quiet moments, she gets lonely and secretly wants a friend. But she would never admit it to anyone. Her persona must stay intact at all costs.-------------------------------------
EYE COLOR» Silvery Grey, almost Blue
HAIR COLOR» Deep Blonde
BUILD» Average build but very strong
RACE» Caucasian
GENERAL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION»
Dom has a unique beauty that most cannot see. She has very long deep blonde hair that spirals naturally off of her head. It stops at her lower back where the layered tips jaggedly end. She is almost never seen with the hair down, it gets in the way. But she just doesn’t have time to cut it all off (and she secretly kind of likes it). Her eyes are blue, but in the summer they become flicked with green speckles. They are thin looking and, after all’s been said, fairly plain. However, the look which the eyes hold makes them one of her most intense features. They are always matched with her lips: drawn into a deep, unconscious scowl at the world, strong and ready to fight for whatever is necessary. She doesn’t mean to glare. Her face is also covered in battle scars from years past: falling down the tree in the back yard when she was three, attacked by a dog when she was seven, and falling onto the rocks at the bottom of the cliff in her foster mother’s neighbors’ yard. Her favorite scar is the one that pierces across the top edge of her eyebrow. It’s from a fight she had in third grade, and it was her only injury. The other girl had to be hospitalized. Her mother was black and her father was white, so her skin is a mixture close to a color that of a very light chocolate milkshake.
She isn’t buff, but her build is strong. She isn’t fat, but she isn’t thin. Her stomach is flat, her chest is small, her hips are wide. She has kind of an awkward combination, but her foster mother used to tell her that it’s what made her an excellent runner. (The foster mother just didn’t know what from.) It’s made her tall; she’s 5’11’’. She has long legs and arms.
CLOTHING STYLE»
What clothing style? She doesn’t like clothes. They are uncomfortable, make people judge you, and they give off a negative image. She isn’t a hippy who’d go around without clothes though. She just isn’t a innovator of the fashion world.-------------------------------------
HOMETOWN» Jerusalem, Vermont (the home of her foster mother)
PARENTS» Died at when she was four:
Mother-Joan Sarah Wadsworth
Father-Tom Leigh Ryland
SIBLING/S» None

HISTORY»
Dom was born, according to her now dead grandmother, in a car on her way to Firenze in Italy where her parents were visiting the paternal parents (who had subsequently retired there). Her grandmother took it as a reason for her character. Firenze meant something to do with fire, and it was Dom. They were rushing, moving, running to get to a hospital on a speeding highway. It was Dom.
Her parents both died in a car crash when she was four. She doesn’t remember them but is constantly told (by loose friends or neighbors from the incident) she has her mother’s eyes, her father’s lips, and her grandmother’s attitude. She has no other family to speak of besides a distant third-aunt, who sends Christmas cards every few years. After her grandmother died, she was left to the orphanage, who passed her around like a hot potato. No couples wanted her. She had a personality.
She always wanted to have siblings, a brother mostly. On parent days or family days, Dom usually walked along the campus, wishing she had a brother to beat up. She once had a foster brother, his name was Pete. He was a whiner. She had once beaten him up and her complained. She had gotten into trouble and was taken back to the orphanage. She didn’t like Pete.
When she was small, ranging from first to fifth grade, she used to get into fights. She often would be sent to the principal’s office for being “just a little too rough”. Sometimes, a lot of times, it was on purpose that she hurt the other kid. However, she never did anything without provocation. She was known to be quick to anger and quick to violence, but grew out of it somewhat. Her anger stays inside of her mouth and body now.
When she was accepted to Cunningham Academy, she didn’t care what house she was in. In truth, she was excited because she could actually stay in one spot for more than a month, whether or not she was unruly and misbehaving. The Aithne house sounded appropriate enough and she took the placement without a second thought. It didn’t matter to her anyway. School was school, life was life.
She was rumored to be involved with a bad crowd. She was involved, so the rumors didn’t bother her much. She had little or no friends to speak of, so it didn’t matter to her. She never did anything like that to get herself in trouble. No drugs, the rare obligatory drink (in celebration at Christmas), and no smoking. She isn’t disgusting. Mostly she was just a bumbling rambler whose sense of roguish dignity often led her to harm.
SCHOOL HISTORY» A heavy manila folder explains all of her misdemeanors, offences, and accidental “outsmarting the teachers”. She’s had many detentions, but has never done anything serious enough to get herself suspended. If it weren’t for her excellent grades, mature attitude towards academics, and positive representation of the school during “public hours” she would be kicked out in a second.
